Friendly Cup Recap — Women’s & Mixed Doubles Edition

November 22, 2025

The ISP Friendly Cup, one of PPC’s flagship events, took place last Saturday with 27 teams competing across three categories at the International School of Prague. PPC players were joined by our friends from Lotus for a day filled with wonderful games and great fun.

The action kicked off with the Mixed Doubles Open category, where 16 teams battled through a competitive and exciting draw. The final came down to a tense, down-to-the-wire match — all fighting for the signature Friendly Cup medals, a hallmark of the event.

The tournament then continued with the Women’s Doubles, which featured both Novice and Open divisions. With five courts in play, both draws ran smoothly side by side and delivered matches that were equal parts fierce and fun. Lotus claimed the gold in the Novice category, while PPC captured the title in the Open division.

This edition of the Friendly Cup also marked our first full tournament run using the Pickleheads app, which proved to be an incredibly smooth and helpful tool that made the organizers’ work significantly easier. While we’re still learning our way around its tournament features, we’re excited to keep exploring everything it offers as our new club platform for games and events.

A huge thank-you to our organizers, Emile and Brenda, and to ISP for once again generously allowing us to use their facilities.

See you at the next Friendly Cup — Men’s & Mixed Doubles — on Sunday, 7 December!
