A little rain couldn’t dampen the fun at the 7th edition of the Pickle Mixer, held at Sky Sport City on October 5th! The weather forecast was questionable, but after cancelling the last Pickle Mixer due to storms, we couldn’t take no for an answer again! As the sixteen competitors were showing up, the raindrops started to fall, so we huddled and socialized under an outdoor shelter while we waited for the sky to clear. It wasn’t long before blue sky broke through the clouds, and games commenced!
As always, the mixer showcased excellent camaraderie with players being paired at random and friendly competition between all teams. We even had a beautiful moment under a rainbow as the skies continued to clear! Pizza and beers were enjoyed at the end of the tournament, and there was already talk around the table of the next mixer!
Big thanks to Sue Sejda and Vojtech Petr, the organizers of the 7th edition Pickle Mixer! Their stellar energy kept the ball rolling on the planning and rescheduling of this tournament!
The Pickle Mixers continue to be a smash success with players eagerly vying to snag a place in the competition. We look forward to hosting more editions of this fun social tournament for everyone to enjoy!
