We are using Pickleheads because of its great functionality and game play scheduling abilities. Pickleheads allows all group members to schedule games of their own and add them to the Prague Pickleball Club (PPC) calendar.

To join the PPC group on Pickleheads:

• Click on “Groups” on the bottom righthand corner of the home screen
• Search for “Prague Pickleball Club”
• Click “Request to Join”

Our admin team will typically approve your request to join within 24 hours.

To view the PPC games calendar:

• Click on “Groups”
• Then click on “Prague Pickleball Club” (Note: You must first be a member of the group)
• Then click on “Sessions” on the top of the screen

This will bring up our group’s calendar where you can browse upcoming games, see who is playing, and join the match!

It is very important to make sure your court is available and reserved before scheduling your game on Pickleheads. To do so, visit https://praguepickleballclub.com/where-to-play/ and then click on your club of choice. This will take you directly to their court reservation page where you can make your reservation. Note: If it is your first time, you may need to register an account.

To create a game and add it to the PPC calendar on Pickleheads:

• Click “New Game” at the bottom center of the home screen
• To schedule a single game, click “Quick Game”
• Enter the location (All of our play locations can be found on the Pickleheads through the search function)
• Enter a title (for example, “Morning Doubles”)
• Add the date. (NOTE: There has been a small glitch on the app where the date shows up as one day earlier than selected, however the date you have chosen WILL show up as the correct date once the game has been scheduled. We are working with the Pickleheads developers to fix this issue.)
• Enter the time.
• Under the “Have you reserved a court?” section, please make sure you have reserved a court for your session before scheduling the game on Pickleheads. It’s very important to make sure that the court is available for your desired date and time. You can make a court reservation by clicking on the desired club’s link under our “Play” tab on the PPC website, or clicking here.
• Select game format and skill level
• Privacy settings: If you select “Private,” only the people or group you invite can attend. If you select “Public,” anyone on the Pickleheads app will be able to join, even if they aren’t a member of the PPC group.
• The following fields, such as “Add Co-Host,” “Collect Payment,” “Images,” and “Add a Note” are optional and do not need to be filled out.

·  After you schedule your game, a screen will pop up letting you know that your session is ready to go! Once you’ve reached this step, you can add the game to the PPC calendar. To do so, click the “Invite Players” button. If you want to open the game up to anyone within the PPC group, click “Invite Groups” and then select Prague Pickleball Club. If you want to invite specific people only, click “Invite Players,” where you can then search for individuals to invite.

Once you’ve joined a game through the PPC group on Pickleheads, you can invite others to join by clicking on the “Invite Players and Groups” button. There, you will have several options on how to invite players, such as texting an invite link, scanning a QR code, or inviting players directly through the app. You can also add a guest if you are bringing a friend who is not yet a Pickleheads app user.

If you need to cancel a game through Pickleheads because something has come up or you simply do not have enough players signed up, you can do so by clicking on the “Games” tab and then scrolling to find your game. Tap on your game and then click “Cancel.” Can send cancellation message if you want. It is also very important to cancel your court reservation through the club you booked it at.

We encourage everyone to maintain accountability when creating games and reserving court time. If you do not have enough players for your game, please cancel within 24 hours of start time to allow other players/groups to book the court. Our clubs keep a list of no-shows, and players who do not show up for their reservation more than three times will be removed from the PPC group on Pickleheads. Additionally, if you neglect to cancel your court reservation, you may still be liable for the court fee.

You can pay at the club when you arrive to play. Simply tell the front desk staff who the reservation is under, and ask to split the payment between the number of players who are playing. (Example: “The reservation name is ‘Pulkrabek.’ I would like to pay for one quarter, since we have four players total.”) For more information on club payment procedures, please visit our Open Play Rules.

To manage or mute notifications through the Pickleheads app, click on your user icon on the top left of the home screen, then click on “Notifications.” Here you will have the ability to manage your notification settings.
