Principles on the protection of Personal Data  (hereinafter 'Privacy Policy')

  1. Controller of Personal Data 

The Controller is Prague Pickleball Club, z.s., with its registered office at Sousedíkova 970/3, 190 00 Praha 9, IČO 21725527 (hereinafter the „PPC“).

  1. Processing of Personal Data 

The processing of Personal Data (as defined below) is governed by the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 Of The European Parliament And Of The Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter ‘Regulation’). Personal Data in the meaning of the Regulation means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter „Personal Data“). Personal Data can be processed with your consent or without it. Personal Data may be in some cases processed by another processor based on a contractual relationship between PPC and such processor. PPC can provide you with the list of processors at your request. 

 PPC, as a Controller (Administrator) processes the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Surname
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Whatsapp number 
  • Address
  • Social security number (rodné číslo)
  • Nationality
  • Information on gender 
  • Image, photograph, video or sound recording of a natural person
  1. Legal Grounds

PPC processes your Personal Data on the basis of the legal grounds listed below: 

  • processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party (i.e. your membership at PPC)
  • processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which PPC is a subject 
  • processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us (e.g. court dispute or pursuing an insurance claim), the scope of Personal Data is restricted to the Personal Data, which are necessary for the successful claim 
  • processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest 
  • your explicit consent  
  1. Purpose

All Personal Data are processed for the purpose of processing the membership application, keeping records of the PPC’s membership base,  information about the PPC’s activities, sending out the newsletter, fulfilling the purpose for which PPC was founded, and related activities (e.g. organizing tournaments, seminars, trainings, members meetings and other events, applications for subsidies or grants, application for sponsorship, promoting the activities of the Administrator, etc.).

  1. Processing of Personal Data for marketing/promotional purpose

By filling in the Contact Form on PPC website, or by filling in the Membership Application, you consent to PPC’s using your image, a video recording or sound recording, made at a PPC’s event or another pickleball event, for promotional purposes of PPC. It can be used on PPC’s  website, our Facebook, Instagram, X or other social media. You have the right to recall the consent any time by informing PPC at info@praguepickleballclub.com, or +420 608 247 890. 

  1. Length of processing

Your Personal Data will be processed and stored for the duration of your membership and for a maximum period of 10 years from the date after you cease to be a member. If you are not a member of PPC but you signed up for receiving information newsletter about PPC’s activities or you are a member of PPC’s whatsapp groups, your Personal Data will be processed until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information/newsletter. In cases where Personal Data are part of historical, sports and similar documents documenting the PPC’s activities (e.g. chronicles, halls of fame, competition results reports, etc.), they will be stored for the entire duration of the PPC’s  existence.

  1. Sharing personal data.

PPC, in fulfilling its membership obligations towards the organizations where the PPC is associated, may transfer Personal Data of its members to other processors, namely the following entities:

  • Pickleball Association
  • Czech Sports Union, z.s. (ČUS)
  • relevant ČUS District Association and ČUS Sports Service Centers,

for the purpose of keeping records of the Pickleball Association's membership base based on its internal regulations, conducting sports activities and identification at competitions and keeping records of the ČUS membership base based on its internal regulations. As stated above, Personal Data may also be transferred to the relevant state and local government authorities (municipalities and regions), especially when submitting applications for subsidies, grants, etc

  1. Your rights Related to Processing of Personal Data 

Under the Regulation, you are entitled to claim the following rights. You have the right to: 

  • Receive the information what Personal Data we process 
  • To be provided access to your Personal Data 
  • The rectification of inaccurate Personal Data relating to you
  • The erasure of your Personal Data 
  • The restriction of processing of Personal Data 
  • Personal Data portability (the right to receive the Personal Data, which you have provided) 
  • Object to the processing of your Personal Data 
  • Be notified of a Personal Data breach where the Personal Data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons in accordance with Article 34 of the Regulation
  • File a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz), which is the supervisory authority in this area.
  1. Changes of Privacy Policy 

PPC is allowed to change or amend this Privacy Policy, the change is effective by its publication on the PPC website.
